GHOST POST PART THREE: my personal experiences

UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL

"...sometimes, in the beginning of a case you can't tell the difference between a negative human spirit and a negative INhuman spirit. Both can be extremely malicious, and sometimes they even work together" ~ Lorraine Warren (what do you think? Are they all once people - or not?)

The Donovan Case
Here I recount my personal ghost history. It will be devoid of any speculation, metaphysical elucidation or philosophizing. There’s enough of that as framework in Parts One and Two. You may sigh with relief. Here I’m just going to tell you the unvarnished story without self-observation or theorizing and in a straightforward, unembellished manner as is possible, the irreducibly metaphorical nature of language permitting. The account is somewhat fragmentary because that's how it was.

I've omitted a few occurrences to protect the nervous disposition. But it's still pretty scary so be warned. Stop right now if you're going to have nightmares.

Images are from The Demonologist, Ed and Lorraine Warren (iUniverse Inc., 2002), and This House Is Haunted, Guy Lyon Playfair (The History Press Ltd., 2007), plus two private images.

To close, I have posted three videos: a snippet of the Perron Family [The Conjuring], a ghost (you decide!) dragging a man down a corridor, and finally a documentary on the Enfield Poltergeist, also investigated in 1978 by the Warrens. I lived close by at the time, although knew nothing about it.
